Under the CTEVT umbrella, this is the first school in Nepal to produce proficiency certificate level manpower for health sector. Currently the school is offering proficiency certificate level courses in six distinct health science viz. General Medicine, Medical Laboratory Technology, Pharmacy, Ophthalmic Science, Diagnostic Radiography and Physiotherapy. We are planning to run Dental Science, Ayurveda (alternative medicine), and Cosmetic Science in near future.

We are moving towards to develop School of Health Science as the Hub for Proficiency Certificate (Intermediate) level academic institution in Health discipline. Ten Year Master Plan, and Five year Strategic plan has been developed, parameters are analyzed and standards are identified to perform in coming years to make SOHS as the Model TVET School.

The Vision of School of Health Science is recognized as a “Centre of Excellence” in producing competent health professionals in Nepal and its mission is to produce competent and confident skilled health workforce required for the promotion and development of quality health services in Nepal. To move towards vision and to perform our mission, we found poverty is one barrier among many other barriers. To mitigate such barrier we are offering subsidy fee quota for approximately 60% students. 

School of Health Science is contributing and will contribute nation by producing middle level competent and confident manpower to serve the people of rural Nepal. Beside running Proficiency Certificate level courses, we are also serving the community people of Chitwan and Nawalparasi districts of Nepal through varieties of community services, and in the near future we are planning to extend such community service programmes to other districts as well.

Through mobilization and maximum utilization of resources and technology we are moving forward solving the problems and crossing the obstacles ahead. As we know impossible is nothing.
